Navigation menus and -submenus are freely definable and not bound to the filing structure of the content. You have maximum freedom in building the user guidance and optimal usability at the same time. Navigation entries can link to any category, article, media (images, pdf-files, etc.) or external target.
The content's navigation and filing is separated. Changes of the folder structure do not have any influence on the navigation and vice versa. With "drag and drop" future expansions and continuous improvements can easily be implemented.
All content is assigned to categories. That creates opportunities that navigation and filing alone could not handle. Via category any kind of set up can be controlled and assigned to the contents, e. g. color patterns (for headings), advertising (for particular topics), syndication, page elements (e. g. right column), tracking pixel, etc.
The combination of navigation, filing and category allows a high degree of flexibility. This is essential for high traffic portals which emphasize on usability and generate part of their revenue by advertising.
